Embracing Bangalore’s snuggly weather in style!
Now that the monsoon is here, there’s finally some respite from the relentless summer heat. Change of weather brings with it a lot of new things, one of which is new additions to your wardrobe or repurposing of the old. Allow us to suggest a timeless knit dress for this autumn season and a quirky yet chic way to style it.
We have styled and shot a couple of knit dresses in some delicious muted colors and patterns for our next post. This was an editorial shoot done for the JM School of Design’s studio collection. These dresses work perfectly as a fall to winter outfit.
They are chic, luxurious and classy.
Our first look in this shoot was a muted purple dress in a gorgeous, buttery jersey fabric. It wears as an easy U-necked, double-layered, A-line, sleeveless dress with a great stretch and drape that makes it ever so comfortable, and super chic!
The much-needed drama for this evening look was provided by the purple crew-length socks and bold make-up with a lot of blush. Jeevana’s hair was double-braided to complete this striking and edgy look.
To accessorize the overall metallic hue, we used metallic pearls in a long chain link necklace and a matching bracelet. A pair of black peep-toe heels breaks this otherwise monochromatic look.
The soothing color scheme of this ensemble was enhanced by a larger-than-life location we chose for the shoot. The sage green backrest of the couch and the mosaic flooring compliments the dress very well.
For our next look, Jeevana sported a bottle green speckled knit dress with a cowl boat neck. This sleeveless, easy-to-carry knit dress is perfect for a date night. For flair, we paired it with a very Coco Chanel-esque string of white pearls and earrings. Take this dress out for a tango, waltz, or a swing dance!
This look too, was completed with a pair of speckled crew length shiny socks to make the whole outfit stand out in a sea of shimmery dresses.
The bold, blush-heavy make-up and the multi-colored canopy chair bring some vibrancy to the aesthetic. The black peep-toe heels and double braided hair finish the look with oomph and suave.
We surely hope that you like this mix of modern and 1920’s fashion. With the Cannes Film Festival in full swing, do let us know which celebrity’s outfit you loved the most!?
