4 ways to Style Corporate Wear
In India, western wear still continues to dominate the corporate world thanks to retail powerhouses like Zara, H&M etc. And so today, I’m going to walk you through 4 ways to style corporate wear effectively with utmost ease.
Anonymous Aunty – She is hard-working but intends to work behind the scenes on any project. Thus, her style would include colours and patterns that draw little or no attention to herself. And so she is covered in black from head to toe with a hint of black and white print on her blouse just to break the monochrome throughout. She would rather stick to timeless options that are a no-brainer and that wouldn’t draw any unusual attention to herself.
Big Boss – She is a dynamic and unapologetic visionary who possesses power, position, and success. Her style is timeless, sticking to classics like stripes, neutrals etc, coupled with a power blazer to depict confidence and control.
Rebellious Rani – Well, she is my personal favorite, because she believes in breaking corporate styling rules that ever existed. Here, she took red (which is otherwise a big no-no in corporate wear in any form) to a whole new level and paired it with stripes and a camel coat demanding all the attention possible. She even broke another common no-no in corporate wear by wearing open-toe slides to complete her look.
Tomboy Ladki – She is another rebel who refuses to wear what’s in the women’s section and would rather opt for corporate wear from the men’s section. She believes that the grass is always greener on the other side and that applies in her work life too. Her style would include a oversized white men’s shirt, a hounds-tooth pair of trousers along with some loafers and a vintage sling bag to complete the look.
So there you have it, 4 ways to style corporate wear. And I will see you at work tomorrow rocking some of these styles that match your persona and position!
