Ink Trails is a wonderful art and article brand, founded by Archana Pereira. In this latest feature, we take you through the styling executed for some of Ink trail’s unique, hand-illustrated coasters.

Many of us have a severe case of wanderlust, nudging us to take off to lands far and wide. Well, Archana bagged the best deal yet! She travels to picturesque locations across India only to return with some stunning illustrations as souvenirs of her tales from afar.

Moving forward, if you’re looking for some stand-out pieces for your home decor, your search ends here?!

Mumbai Series

Let’s begin with, the bumbling metropolis of Mumbai! These 5 treasured coasters include some of its most popular buildings. The historical Gateway of India and the Chatrapati Shivaji terminal, the standout red BEST bus and the iconic Mumbai taxi. We have styled this shot with an hourglass to signify the timelessness of the city. Furthermore, to safeguard all your travel secrets we have used hand-picked seashells. While you sip your hot cup of coffee using these lovely illustrated coasters.

The next set, features 3 coasters below that include some of Mumbai’s age-old cafes and restaurants. The Yazdani Bakery and B. Merwan are a few examples. We kept it monotone with a dark wooden base and mat. Alongside the hourglass, the cup of coffee paired with the book, THE SILK ROADS. Thus, a humble reminder that on this journey called “Life”, we are but mere travelers. To complete this shot we scattered cardamoms and cinnamon sticks.

Bangalore Series

The next stop, is the beautiful garden city, Bangalore. These feature some of the most legendary locations in the city like the State Library, and Koshy’s. Here, the yellow background adds a pop of color to the coasters and the red coffee mug. Archana’s love for travel and its nostalgia is imminent with the use of a wooden Channapatna toy car. In addition to an age-old ink pen to jot down all your travel tales.

Multi-City Series

Moving on, we cover a myriad of colours. From the serenity of the French colony of Pondicherry to the chaos of the Pushkar cattle fair, we have it all! We paired the light blue background with a wooden tray. Along with a dark blue mat to contrast the brightly colored coasters. Moreover, a better way to enjoy your travel magazine but with some chai and Parle-G biscuits?

Besides, the journey below covers the unique island of Majuli, the rich heritage of Jodhpur and God’s own country, Kerala. The yellow background adds a wonderful pinch of contrast to a beautiful palette of blue and green coasters. In addition to a picture of the Jodhpur clock tower in the foreground. We layered a wooden tray and a dark blue mat in between. For props we added some crunchy banana chips and a hot cup of tea.

Last but not the least, we have the appeal of Majuli, Jodhpur, and Kerala. All this and more we styled with an ornate necklace on a bright yellow background. In conclusion, the banana chips were added to stir one’s appetite while the cloves and cardamoms were included to bring out the aroma of the masala tea.
