Dressed to kill even from home
In this two-part journey, we yearn to weave colourful beaded statement jewellery with some understated corporate wear. We attempted this styling experiment with my own collection of extravagant neck pieces which is quite a contrast to the attire.
To begin with, western formal wear can often times be quite dull and drab. Allow us, to help you break the boredom of your daily look with statement jewellery and the right amount of make-up for that Zoom call. Who said you can’t be bold and ever so vibrant with your sartorial choices whilst at home?
LOOK 1
For our first look, our favourite duo Astrid & Keela look ever so chic in this ensemble. Astrid is sporting a black sheen blazer with a bare mid-riff, matching trousers and this quirky statement neck-piece. Which infuses elements from the past with that of the future. On the other hand, Keela carries off a round neck, bat-wing loose-fit top, and a timeless pair of formal trousers. To enhance her look, we complemented it with another quirky natural semi-precious stone neck piece that also has hints of the past and the future embedded in it. Their confidence just electrifies the entire picture. Giving us all the power we need to make such a come back post this season. Not to mention, the wine lip with a ‘No-Makeup’ makeup look was perfect finishing touch for this power duo!
LOOK 2
For our second look, we styled these very outfits with a new set of neckpieces. Besides, these handcrafted beaded neckpieces continue to embody this juxtaposition of materials both old and new like never before.
LOOK 3
For our final look, Astrid and Keela wore a classic white blazer and matching white top paired with a timeless pair of black straight cut trousers. The white of Astrid’s knit blend blazer and Keela’s bat-wing, round neck top are the perfect canvas for the gorgeous beaded neck-pieces to stand out. With this in mind, who knows this piece could even be the conversation starter to the otherwise awkward silence on that Zoom call.
