Around the world in just one post!

For this next post, we are delighted to take you on a very special trip down memory lane. This collaboration is one that is very close to my heart.

While everyone loves to play with a melange of colours. At the same time, we had the opportunity to use the entire spectrum for this. Ranging from sophisticated black and virgin white to loyal blues and playful pinks. Not only colours, we have a variety of cultures to work with too. African Batiks to Mexican Aztec, and Japanese Kimonos to Indian jewellery we have it all. Each look for this shoot is an amalgamation of diverse world-cultures. This illustrates, unity and harmony, exactly what the world needs, now more than ever.

Not to mention, the mesmerising scarves and statement jewellery was designed, and hand-crafted by yours truly, something you simply cannot miss!

Print on Print

To begin with, for the first look, we show you how to work some magic with prints. Our first layer of print is this beautiful Graffiti street art in Birmingham, UK. Where, the beautiful Relo carries a loose fit sky blue African blouse with embroidered bell sleeves paired with a Mexican-Aztec print hot pants. For that extra pop of colour we styled it with a native batik head-wrap and two of my scarves for head wraps. We threw in a wide-brimmed Fedora to amp up the oomph-factor of this look! The intricate beaded neck-piece speckles the sky blue canvas of the blouse keeping it extra quirky.  Finally, a pink lip with an off-white pair of shades does justice to this high energy ensemble.

Moreover, matching her in style, is Ryan who sports a vintage chrome yellow standing collar shirt with a casual pair of ditsy print shorts. Although, the masterpiece of his look is the traditional Maasai robe, Shuka, draped effortlessly around his shoulder in a complex batik print. Besides, metal-rimmed frames add a touch of sophistication to this otherwise casual look.

Chromatic with Achromatic

The second look is quirky yet chic. We styled our handsome Ryan in straight cut white chinos with a thrifted retro print shirt, along with a traditional Batik print wrap-around in citrus coloured checks. A wide-brimmed black Fedora and a pair of double-buckle monks for shoes perfectly balance the entire outfit.

Furthermore, Relo looks like a dream in this classic LBD and a breezy, white linen tasselled Kimono. We spiced it up with a few scarves worn as head wraps, a flamboyant neck-piece, and a striking cummerbund at the waist for the win. To finish the look in style we added a neon orange lip and dusty brown stilettos! This is our version of effortless, yet unforgettable fusion.

Monochrome Tonal

Finally, for the last look, we did a Paris-meets-Milan ensemble. This gorgeous, black French-cut one-piece bikini sits perfectly under our favorite monochrome, studded suede vintage jacket. In addition, what really brings this look to life is a hard-to-miss giant beaded brooch. With something as breath-taking as this, a single batik print head wrap in satin silk, a wine lip and a distressed cat eye was all that was needed to complete this uber-chic look.

Furthermore, for this final look, Ryan wears a fine chambray blue shirt with classic white chinos. Draped over his right shoulder we added an earth tone Batik print shawl. Also, having paired the outfit with a black Fedora and circle frames to complete his understated yet timeless look.

In conclusion, with this global feast for your eyes, do let us know which fashion culture is your favorite, and if there is a country that you’d call your spirit fashion culture?

With that being said, do remember we’re all in this together and there’s no time like now to express your appreciation and cherish everyone and everything around.

Stay home and Stay safe.
