Dress like a pataka this festive season!

With Dusshera just behind us and Diwali before us, there could be no better time for this next collaboration. Personally, it is something very close to my heart.

This blog post features our collaboration with a home-grown, organic, eco-conscious, not to mention, my best friend’s brand, LABEL ADVITIYA.

Advitya means one of its kind, and true to its name, every piece made by them is unique and hand-crafted just for you. They design and produce every article with meticulous details and an impeccable finish. It was an honor to style these gorgeous, handpainted sarees with a touch of my personal style, apt for this festive season.

For our first look, we have a stunning 9 yards in this timeless magenta ombre saree of sheer beauty hand-painted with the most-intricate kingfishers. It is paired with a timeless pear choker and a Indian teal blue crop top in place of a traditional blouse.

The accessories with this look consist of gold block heels and a beaded fringe white bag perfect for a Diwali kitty party in the day. A mauve lip with wavy hair brings this look together to add a hint of nostalgia to your festive look.

For our second look, we opted for a wine colored georgette drape with hand-painted flora and complimented the saree with a matching plaid thrifted oversized blazer true to our sense of aesthetic.

A pair of dusty brown cut-work block heels, a gold link chain bag, and gold foil statement earrings go perfectly with this look just like cheese goes with wine.

And we reserved the best for the last. Our personal favourite is this ash grey saree with gold and silver details. Perfect for a festive evening out.

It is paired with a men’s vest as a blouse, layered on with a wide belt and a north Indian inspired drape.

What takes this look to the next level is a pair of black stilettos with a studded clutch, and matching ring and choker.

Diwali is the most special time of the year that brings family and friends together. Do let us know in the comments how you would dress like a pataka this Diwali to not only look your best, but to feel your best too!?
