Celebrity Styling: Any guesses who?

Before we begin, there is a famous saying, “If something can be put in a nutshell, keep it there.” That is exactly what I have attempted to achieve with this shoot.

Firstly, our latest feature on Shoulders Of Gold is a little more special than usual since it not only features my work but was also executed at the exuberant 5-star hotel, JW Marriott, located in the heart of the city, Bangalore.

Sushruthi Krishna

In fact, we collaborated with and thereby styled the gorgeous Sushruthi Krishna, 1st runner up for Femina Miss India 2016. She is a multi-talented individual with a heart of gold. Besides being a model and looking ever so divine at that, she also runs a Fashion Influencers-led Online Shopping Brand for Men and Women, Spoyl in partnership with her husband.

Secondly, the boutique venture by JM School of Design & Business brought this striking outfit that I designed and styled for the occasion to life.

A lot of thought and thorough research went into the creation of this outfit. Not only did we conclude that Sushruthi’s skin tone is a cool tone but also assessed another essential metric, her body type. Which in her case, is a combination of hourglass and pear shape.

To honour the venture, the colour palette chosen for the ensemble was resplendent purple and appeasing teal colours.

Outfit Details

JM School of Design & Business constructed this unparalleled outfit in luxurious raw silk and Georgette.

A one-shoulder figure-hugging knee-length dress with an asymmetric cut out at the back fits like a dream on Sushruthi. The outfit has scattered sequins detailed over the shoulder and belt regions. In addition, the fine piping detail in a contrasting teal tint simply adorned the asymmetric cut-out at the back.

Furthermore, the school also crafted Sushruthi’s rhinestone drop earrings and a matching bracelet.

Styling

Thirdly, for the styling, minimal hair and make-up made way for the garment to be the star of the shoot. A pair of timeless silver embellished stilettos conclude the look.

In conclusion, I shouldered the styling experience for their upcoming boutique venture while I was Creative Director for JM. JM School of Design & Business is a renowned fashion school based in Bangalore. It excels at imparting quality education and focused learning for fashion hungry students.
